About Seating Styles:
Classroom: Participants facing the front of the room, seated at long 8' tables, 3-5 people per table. Effective for instructional meetings, seminars, and workshops.
Theatre: Participants seated in rows of chairs, without tables, facing the front of the room. This seating style will accommodate more participants in any given room, and is effective where participants will not be required to work at tables.
U-Shape: Participants are seated at 8' tables in the shape of a U. This is effective for presenting information and encouraging group discussion.
Hollow Square: Participants are seated at 8' tables in the shape of a square, which accommodates group discussion.
Boardroom: Participants are seated around one table and works well for small meetings.
Round tables: Allows for the maximum number of people to be seated at tables.
Half Rounds: Participants are seated half way around the tables to allow everyone to see the front of the room, and still allows for small group work.
Trade Show: 8' tables around the room for exhibitors.
Banquet Rounds: Round tables set for a banquet.
Reception: Chairs and cocktail tables are arranged around the perimeter of the room, to allow space for guests to mingle around the centre of the room.
